Dr. Theodorou’s current research explores the use of creative and experiential methodologies—such as music-based approaches—as multimodal tools for emotion regulation and socio-emotional skills training. He has co-led Erasmus+ KA2 pilot feasibility trials, including the LEVEL-UP and MASH UP n’ HEI projects, which aim to strengthen transversal skills and mental health resilience among young adults and university students.

His work within SPARK centers on advancing sexual health literacy among educators and parents in Cyprus, contributing to the development of evidence-based, culturally sensitive programs that support youth wellbeing.
He has served on the boards of several NGOs, including the Cyprus Youth Council, the Cyprus Family Association, and KENTHEA. Dr. Theodorou regularly delivers psychoeducational workshops for parents and educators, such as Managing Anxiety During Exam Periods and Transition to Adulthood: Practical Advice for Parents and Guardians.
His broader methodological expertise spans experimental, cross-sectional, and pilot intervention designs, integrating quantitative and mixed-method approaches to study emotion regulation, gender and sexuality, and the psychophysiological correlates of wellbeing.
